Edie Awards presented at Illinois Chamber Annual Meeting
Five Illinois Economic Development projects were presented with Edie Awards at the Illinois Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting in Chicago last week; Governor Pat Quinn, keynote speaker for the luncheon meeting, praised their accomplishments in creating jobs and investing in Illinois.

Quinn Vows to "Cut Costs, Cut Costs, Cut Costs" in Speech to Illinois Chamber
Governor Pat Quinn told Illinois Chamber Annual Meeting guests that while he rejects the "half-baked" 50% budget cuts proposal, the state must cut costs to reflect reality. Nearly 250 executives heard the Governor's speech and applauded the 2008 Edie (Economic Development, "ED") Award winners.
