Dues to the Illinois Chamber are based on the organization’s actual receipts for normal operations and activities for the last fiscal year, or on budgeted receipts for the current fiscal year, whichever is lower.

The Illinois Chamber values our working relationship with local chambers throughout Illinois and recognizes the strength in numbers.

Because the chamber industry is not a federation, membership to a local chamber that belongs to the state chamber does not mean a business is a member of both.  In addition, membership to the Illinois Chamber by a local chamber does not include membership to the US Chamber or the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE).  Each is a separate membership with unique benefits.  If you have questions about benefits, please contact the Director of Local Chamber Relations.

In addition to the benefits provided to Sustaining Members shown above, Issue Advocates benefit from:

  • Invitation to participate in the Government Affairs Council. The Government Affairs Council is tailor-made for professional government affairs personnel, as well as government and public affairs consultants
  • Opportunity to participate as an active member of one of the Chamber’s Business Issue Councils. Council members participate in developing and recommending policy statements for adoption by the Board of Directors. Council members receive special electronic newsletters and bulletins devoted to the subject matter (Employment Law Council, Tax Institute, etc.)
  • Frequent Government Affairs Report emails sent during legislative session and periodically as issues warrant
  • End of session legislative report
  • Legislative and grassroots action alerts
  • Pre-election biennial legislative report card on legislators' voting records
  • Invitations to participate in government affairs briefings, programs and legislative coalition activities
  • Staff consultation and personal assistance with legislative or governmental advocacy on behalf of your business or industry

In addition to the benefits provided Sustaining Members and Issue Advocates shown above, Policy Advocate benefits include:

  • Sponsorship and participation on more than one Business Issue Council - Council members participate in developing and recommending policy statements for adoption by the Board of Directors
  • Business Issue Council web pages with council members only access
  • Special meetings, events, seminars, presentations and forums dedicated to council issues
  • Unique networking opportunities with subject matter experts and peers
  • Subject matter expertise to help direct legislative, regulatory, legal and governmental actions
  • Opportunities to sponsor, present and host special programs: the Illinois Chamber will work with the company to find opportunities to satisfy the member’s public relations, visibility, promotion and marketing needs

In addition to the aforementioned benefits that accrue to members in other membership categories, Chairman’s Council members receive:

  • Recognition and link on the Chamber web site
  • Recognition and signage at Chamber events
  • Preferred seating at Chamber events
  • Invitations to special programs and events with business executives, political leaders and foreign dignitaries
  • Opportunities to present and market special programs, goods or services
  • Networking with Illinois’ senior business executives
  • Invitation to VIP events hosted by the Chairman
  • Satisfaction, recognition and prestige: members of the Chairman’s Council provide leadership and critical financial support to ensure business' perspective and voice are effectively represented in public policy debates that affect Illinois business.
